Steven Xiao is an Chinese-American writer and director from San Diego and Boston. He's drawn to narrative and documentary stories that explore the parts of ourselves we hide. He will now proceed to shamelessly brag.

His narrative short, Forever My Boy, will premiere at the 48th Asian American International Film Festival—held at the Regal Union Square Cinema in New York City—the longest-running Asian-American film festival in the U.S. This film has been viewed over 13,000 times online.

A frame from his documentary short, home, again, won a National Gold Medal for photography in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition and has been exhibited at The MET in New York City.

He began his career in photography and was a Fine Art Finalist in the Siena International Photo Awards. He's shot on set for BE PATIENT GROW DAILY, a fashion brand by Sango, a critically acclaimed artist who's produced for Frank Ocean.

Commercially, he's worked on the camera team for BROOKS RUNNING's GTM campaign for their new GLYCERIN 23 and GLYCERIN FLEX running shoes.

Steven Xiao is based in Seattle & Los Angeles.
